After our engagement and a date is set for our wedding, when is a good time to look for a wedding photographer and videographer?
This is a question that many couples have. They get engaged, and they are so excited and share the news with all their friends and family, and everyone asks when? Where? And all the other questions about the wedding and couples can become overwhelmed with all the planning they are about to endure. They cannot wait to get to the altar and have their lovely big day, but they also want to enjoy the moment and not have to make everything about work and planning.
It can be stressful to come up with details for a wedding, like where, when, who, and how, but there can also be much uncertainty in planning properly.

Amongst all the planning that takes place, finding the right photographer and videographer can come as soon as you would like! It doesn't have to wait. It can be the first thing you book after you have a date and a location, or it can even come right after the engagement since you will probably want to get some lovely engagement photos taken soon.
Photographers and videographers are professionals who endlessly study weddings and become experts in scheduling and planning the best marriages. Your photographer can guide you in planning your wedding with great suggestions on style and things to consider when planning (if you get a good photographer). If you get a photographer who truly is excited for you and wants to help you as much as they can, and for you to have proper time to invest in finding the perfect photographer for you, you shouldn't be afraid to make it a priority as the next thing on the list to plan.
Photographers can be real advocates in helping answer your questions and give you great suggestions and advice on your wedding! A wedding venue also can give great advice as well on wedding planning, but the sooner your photographer is included in the planning process the better of a job they can do for you and the more you will work well with each other to accomplish the goal of having a delightful, fun, rememberable, beautiful and perfect wedding day. Remember your photographer is the one who is going to be there for the best and most important moments so let them be involved!

Don't wait til the last minute because great photographers are usually very selective and can get booked 1 to 2 years out.

Your photographer is the one who is going to be there for the best and most important moments, so let them be involved! Remember, the longer you wait to find a photographer, the more likely you will have to settle for less than what is best for you.
